MOS + Intel - Botanical Dimension
VR & MR, Physical Computing, Unreal Engine 2018

An immersive botanical experience
polygonfuture was invited by MOS + Intel to be a part of an immersive physical and virtual jungle installation called “Botanical Dimensions”. The MOS team transformed a 3,000sq ft. warehouse in Los Angeles into an immersive techno-jungle experience. Surrounded by 1,500 real jungle plants, sounds, and humidity, individuals used human gesture to fly and navigate a virtual alien jungle.
polygonfuture was given a section of the virtual world and asked to create something special and unique using the Unreal Game engine. Over the course of four days, we conceptualized, designed, and created a hybrid desert/jungle landscape filled with abstract alien artefacts, lush plants, and massive desert canyons complete with an environmental system of dust, wind, and rocks that rain from the sky.
